Honor Killing by Sarah Bierstock

April 2nd, 2017 | 9:30 am – 12:00 pm  & April 3rd, 2017 | 7:00 – 9:30 pm

Allisyn Davis, an American reporter for the NY Times, heads to the Pakistan to cover the honor killing of a young woman. Denied entrance – but armed with the most current technology – she conducts her investigation remotely from Dubai. Through a series of cultural collisions, candid interviews, and dangerous encounters she learns the horrifying details of the murder. These circumstances cause Allisyn to re-examine a traumatic incident she herself survived back in the United States. One culture mirrors the other, asking questions about forgiveness, self worth and justice.

This event is a special sneak peek into the new play development process and will invite audience feedback by asking them to answer specific questions from the playwright.
